The title tag is still a very important tag to include in your meta data. When you build your web pages it's very easy to concentrate on the front end things like design and usability and ignore things like giving each page a title. My suggestion is that you research your keywords until you find a gap in the competition for a waord that is relevant to your sites content, then include that word as close as you can to the start of the title tag. This enables users to see that your site is relevant to them and their search queries and it also enables the search engines to see the same. If you also include the keyword in your meta description and keywords then congratulations, you've just optimised your meta data. Remember to do this individually for each of your websites pages choosing a different keyword for each page as long as it remains relevant to that pages content.
